Sugar Bowl Resort

Also, the hotel team is small and the hotel manager is out of the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but they'll get back to you as soon as possible! Rooms are on the same site as the wedding, require a two-night stay (Friday & Saturday), and include breakfast. Accommodations are available beginning Thursday if you wish.

Sugar Bowl Vacation Rentals

Sugar Bowl home owners offer a limited number of condos, townhomes, and home rentals. Some of the units are located within walking distance of the lodge. A minimum of 2 nights is required for all rentals. Email hotel@sugarbowl.com for rates.

Flight

Reno-Tahoe Airport (RNO) & Sacramento Airport (SMF)

Sugar Bowl Resort is approximately a 1-hour drive from the Reno-Tahoe Airport and a 1.5-hour drive from the Sacramento Airport. Uber and Lyft can get you to Sugar Bowl, but we recommend renting a car so you can explore the Truckee/Tahoe area!

Driving Directions to Sugar Bowl from Reno & Truckee

IMPORTANT NOTE: There are two routes to Sugar Bowl. One route is very scenic, but some may find the winding road a challenging drive. We recommend the highway route at night. DURING THE DAY (for a scenic route): Follow I-80 W toward Sacramento Take exit 184 for Donner Pass Road Turn left onto Donner Pass Road Follow the road past Donner Lake about 3 miles up and over the summit (be sure to stop for pictures at Rainbow Bridge!) Turn left at Sugar Bowl Road (the main entrance to Sugar Bowl) Follow the road in and veer to the right where the road splits into parking lots There are directional signs that will lead you into the courtyard for the hotel and reception area 629 Sugar Bowl Road, Norden, CA 95724 AT NIGHT (or for an easy, highway route): Follow I-80 W toward Sacramento Take exit 174 toward Soda Springs/Norden Turn left onto Donner Pass Road Continue for 3.5 miles (you will pass the village gondola parking lot - keep going!)
