The Dalí Museum has been the unofficial heart of fine arts in the Tampa Bay area since its opening in 1982. The debut of the new building in January 2011 has contributed to the cultural renaissance – a movement that has experienced an explosion of artistic institutions and outlets that both residents and visitors to the destination can enjoy.
Over the past decade, St. Pete has fast become Florida’s premier destination for craft breweries, with the city hosting no fewer than 17 brewers! Many of St. Pete’s craft breweries are located within walking distance of the waterfront, with only a few that are within a short taxi ride, so it’s easy enough to sample the unique vibe and drinks on offer at each of them. Whatever your tastes, St. Pete has something to offer: hop-forward IPAs or fruity sours and everything in between. The Bay Area even has its own style that is very much unique to the region: Florida Weisse. Some of our favorites include 3 Daughters Brewing, St. Pete Brewing Co., and Green Bench Brewing Co. L'chayim!
If you've never seen a sunset on the West Coast, now is your chance! The closest beach to the wedding venue would be St. Pete Beach, home to the historic Don Cesar Resort, the legendary "pink palace on the beach." Just past that is Treasure Island Beach, where you can often find more intimate beachfronts such as Sunset Beach. A bit further is Madeira Beach, home of John's Pass Village & Boardwalk, a quaint fishing village with restaurants, shops, and water sports. You can't go wrong with any of them!
