After crashing the birthday party of a friend of a friend, Eric found himself chatting with a woman named Cari who turned out to be the Admissions Director at Temple Beth Am Day School. Upon realizing that she was speaking to a single Jewish lawyer, Cari immediately thought of her friend Andrea, the Program Director at Temple Beth Am, whose dating life was a frequent topic of conversation in the lunch room. Cari approached Andrea at the office the next day stating that, while she was a few cocktails in, she met this guy who she thinks might be pretty great. Cari asked if it would it be okay to give Eric Andrea's number. Eric was not easy to do recon work on, as he is the rare millennial who has not opted in to social media. Still, upon looking at his headshot on his firm's web site, noting that he is Jewish, and getting Cari's stamp of approval, Andrea figured ... I'll let him buy me a drink. It was a rainy Monday afternoon, and Andrea nearly cancelled their happy hour date, but boy is she glad she didn't. Andrea and Eric met up at Cibo Wine Bar in Coral Gables and stayed for four hours, defying Andrea's typical two hour first date rule. They knew right away that there was a spark, and just nine months later, on the evening that they picked up the keys to their new townhouse in Coconut Grove, Eric proposed to Andrea on the rooftop, to which Andrea elatedly responded, "OF COURSE I'LL MARRY YOU!" That was March 20, 2020, right at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic. But these unprecedented circumstances have only made their relationship stronger, and made them that much more excited to be each other's QuaranTeam for life.
