As of right now we are optimistic that September of 2021 will be a safe time for our guests to attend our wedding. If it comes to a point where the safety or comfort of the friends and family we're inviting is in jeopardy we will evaluate our safety options and let everyone know. We recommend double checking that any reservations made are cancelable or transferable. Please also check back to this website for updates. If we do end up having to cancel or postpone our wedding we will do our best to let everyone know as far in advance as possible.
Sorry, while we love your little ones, no children will be allowed to attend our ceremony or reception.
Our venue space is limited so unless we have specifically told you that you have a plus one, please do not bring a date or anyone not specifically listed on your invitation. They won’t have a place to sit or any food.
Our dress code is Semi-Formal. Suits and cocktail length dresses preferred. Please refrain from wearing jeans or flip-flops. For examples of semi-formal attire please look to the internet! When in doubt reach out to us and we can help!
It's Big Sur in September so most likely beautiful and clear but it will likely cool down at some point, so bring a jacket and maybe a scarf!
We have a room block set aside for our guests at the Hyatt Regency in Monterey. For more detailed information and a link to book your stay, please look at our travel and accommodations page. It is a race weekend at Laguna Seca so keep this in mind when booking accommodation in the area.
Assorted charcuterie will be provided prior to the start of the reception, which will be a family style meal with a chicken main course. There will be self-service wine and beer options, as well as coffee and tea.
Check out our linked registry on this website! We're also registered at Sur La Table and Crate & Barrel.
We ask that you please do not take pictures before or during the ceremony as we have a lovely, professional photographer that will be taking photos. You are welcome to take pictures of the reception. We would love to collect photos and videos under the hashtag #LetTheGavigansBegin! Please note that we are having an unplugged ceremony, which means no phone or cameras allowed. If we do see you with your phone or a camera during the ceremony we reserve the right to remove you from the ceremony and/or or reception. We will be more than happy to share our professional pictures with you after we get them back, just let us know!
Yes! If you are staying in the Monterey area, we will be providing shuttles to and from the venue. Check out our travel and accommodations page for more information.
Monterey (MRY) is closest but has limited options. San Jose (SJC) is the closest airport with the most options. The Hyatt Regency Monterey has a shuttle to and from the Monterey Airport. If you're flying into Monterey please let us know so we can arrange a shuttle for you.
