Old Salem Museums & Gardens
Old Salem is located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Old Salem is one of the most comprehensive historic attractions and focuses primarily on the Moravian's way of life. Aside from being a historic property with a rich history, Old Salem is also the site of Salem College. Salem College is an all-women's college and Alexis's alma mater from undergrad.
Triad Park Field of Honor
For our first date, we had a picnic here and walked around the paths and pond area. Free to visit and chockful of athletic spaces to suit any needs, Triad Park has a lot to offer. The Field of Honor monument located in the park is a sight to behold!
Körner's Folly
Think Biltmore House, but in Kernersville, North Carolina. A 22-room Victorian house museum that was the home of some of the earliest residents of Kernersville. Tickets to tour may be purchased online. It's a special treat to see it at Christmas as local civic groups will decorate each of the rooms to spread holiday cheer!
Fourth of July Park
Small park located near the venue that offers playgrounds, dog parks, and walking trails. Prominently pays homage to our veterans as the most patriotic park in town!
Kernersville Auto Museum
We checked out the Auto Museum when our Lion's Club had a meeting here. This little auto museum is filled with old cars that bring back the memories of times gone by and is free to visit when they are open!
Greensboro Science Center
This is where we went on our second date together. Greensboro Science Center is a great little museum with a small zoo that provides lots to do!
