Maid of Honor
Adrienne (first sister of the Bride) first met Leslie on a beautiful spring day in May 1991. Leslie was her very first friend and they’ve been inseparable from that day on. And even though Adrienne has always loved playing the devil to Leslie’s angel, Leslie has been her rock through childhood, college, and living together in D.C. They’ve truly been there for each other through all the up’s and down’s and through life’s biggest moments, and especially this next one. It is Adrienne’s great joy to stand by Leslie’s side as she marries the love of her life. And while Adrienne was initially suspicious of the slick Frenchie with a sportscar, she has come to know Dorian as one of the most generous and caring men she has ever met and couldn’t be more excited to have him as a brother-in-law.
Best Man
How I know Dorian. It started when I was 3 years old, this guy just popped up from nowhere. My first memory of him is pretty vague and unfortunately I don’t have enough characters to describe it or many others. For a good part of my life he felt like my shadow, which annoyed me, but now he shines his own light brightly and anyone is lucky to be in it and I’m very proud of the man he has become. Dorian is by far the most generous and genuine person I know. I am often astounded by how selfless he is to others and to the extent his is willing to go to help someone. I’ve only met Leslie a few times and every time Dorian is always smiling when he’s with her, or making out... Their quirks are complementary and they are fun to be around. I’m thrilled he has found someone that makes him so happy.
Maid of Honor
Alexis, sister #2, has known Leslie since “Day One” when Leslie got stuck with yet another impish, little sister to look after. Leslie is Alexis’ “biggest cheerleader,” as she likes to say. Whether covering up her siblings’ misadventures, staying up late to read last minute college papers, or just giving a big hug at the end of a rough day, Alexis could always count on Leslie. So of course, she was happy to play the role of cheerleader for Leslie on that swipe to the right that found Alexis that new big bro she always wanted! Alexis believes Dorian is the only man who can match Leslie in generosity of spirit, capacity for love, corny jokes, and patience with annoying little sisters. She couldn’t be more excited for the couple and their wedding – She’ll be there happily cheering them on.

Bridesmaid
One of the bride's closest friends from college, I met Leslie what feels like a lifetime ago! The first night we met I remember sitting on the hallway floor in the residence halls and we just started talking, and kept talking, and talking some more. I knew I had met someone special. Since that first day of college orientation, Les and I have shared many a late night talking and laughing (plenty of crying too). She has been an incredible friend to me and It has been awesome to see her fall in love and grow in love with Dorian. The first time I met Dorian, my husband and I met up with him and Les to get drinks and play pool together. For the first time in my LIFE, I saw Les smitten with someone! It has been so good getting to know Dorian and I'm excited for more double dates in our future!

It was evening and the kitchen was a bustle of noises and a symphony of fragrances. Sixteen-bit music and yelling could often be heard in the adjacent room. Upon being summoned, we would file into the kitchen, sit at the great round table, and feast our eyes upon the meal. It didn't matter what was served, everything was always superbly prepared and the conversation lively and varied. I was never there for a specific reason and i cant recall how these gatherings started. All i know is i was at your house a lot over a period of about 3 years and spending time with your family is one of the few things i miss from that era.

I met Leslie not long after I moved to DC after college. We would run into each other at St. Joseph’s gatherings, and eventually worked on the same floor. She has always been a bright and joyful friend, and I was so excited when our mutual commiserations on the terrible DC housing market led to her invite me to be one of her roommates at The Del! (Along with some other pretty incredible women.) Between infamously delicious brunches, watching Mass in the living room during the blizzard, and the daily experience of sharing a home and our lives we became even better friends. Throughout the past years we’ve shared camping trips, Easter vigils, wineries, and plenty of heart to hearts. I am so grateful to call such a fearless, loving, and kind woman my friend.

When I met my husband, I had no idea what was in store for me, but I soon found out. I got an amazing mother in law, a hilarious aunt, a handsome father-in-law, and a weird and annoying brother-in-law. Don't get me wrong, I felt this way was because we have so much in common. We are very much alike. He understands me like a twin brother would and has been there for me when I needed to complain about things, always offered a shoulder to cry on, he’s my gossip "girl". He is one of my best friends and not just a brother. What makes me happiest is to see the joy he has right now with his beautiful bride-to-be Leslie. It has brought a special light in his eyes, a smile I have never seen before that makes me certain that she is the ONE who my amazing brother deserves, which is only the best.
