Baltimore-Washington International Airport is the closest airport to all the festivities and in general tends to be the cheapest of the surrounding airports. However, other options are DCA Ronald Reagan International Airport, or Dulles International Airport but those are a bit further out and will most likely require you to rent a car.
Train
BWI Marshall Airport, Amtrak/MARC Station
If traveling by plane isn't quite your style then maybe consider the train? The train station is located right by BWI Airport and its so convenient and easy to get transportation to and from the station. A very convenient mode of transportation even if you should head into DC for a day. Fun fun!
