Lesli and Manuel's journey began under the Friday night lights of a high school football game in 2011 , Pasadena High School vs. Deer Park. Lesli was cheering on her school, while Manuel, a proud Deer Park student, ended up sitting with a friend from the opposing side, fate’s little twist. Amidst the cheers and rivalry, the two struck up a conversation… over Lunchables, of all things. It was the most unexpected and charming beginning. They exchanged numbers and started texting, and before long, they were officially dating. Though their high school romance was short-lived with Lesli heading off to The University of Texas at Austin after graduation , the connection never truly faded. Almost a year later, in January 2015, their paths crossed once again. This time, the timing was right. What started as a reconnection quickly turned into a lifelong bond, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. In April 2024, after nearly a decade of shared laughter, long-distance calls, and countless memories, Lesli and Manuel took their first international flight together to Portugal. While wandering the cobblestone streets of Porto, Manuel got down on one knee and asked Lesli to be his forever. Over the years, they’ve called many places home, but today, they live in Alexandria, Virginia, with their beloved dog, Hachi, who definitely thinks he’s part of the wedding party. Now, they’re beyond excited to begin their next chapter together, and they can’t wait to celebrate this special moment with the people they love most.
