Five Star Restaurant
A little hidden speakeasy Chinese restaurant. This place is so good, open late, and has a really cute inside area to hang out and relax.
Centro
Delicious tacos and enchiladas. We love eating lunch here for the lunch special on weekday afternoons.
Crabtree Valley Mall
If you get the urge to shop, this is closest mall. It's really big with a variety of stores.
El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant
This place has delicious food and really good prices, especially for lunch. Right in downtown Raleigh, it's a great place to keep in mind!
Beasley's Chicken + Honey
Delicious fried chicken and other southern food.
The Egg & I Restaurants
DELICIOUS breakfast and brunch. Really good waffles especially. Only downside, no mimosas.
Tasty Beverage Company
Cute (semi-hipster) specialty beer shop. We love to get our different sour beers from here. There's also a bar inside where you can sit and try the different beers.
Sir Walter Coffee
A cute little coffee shop with coffee and tea cocktails. They also have an outside seating area where we love to go and chill with Bear.
Amorino Raleigh: Excellence in Italian Gelato
Delicious gelato and creative treats. We love their macaroons :)
International Food
This is the place to go for all the international foods you could want! We love this grocery store. There's also a panaderia in this plaza!
Gallo Pelón Mezcaleria
This tucked away bar above the restaurant "Centro" is Raleigh's only Mezcaleria (Mezcal is a type of tequila). We love this place for the relaxed vibe, good drinks, and rooftop patio.
Maggiano's Little Italy
This place has the freshest, most delicious Italian food we have ever had! Not to mention they do 50% of wine bottles on Wednesday. They also give you a meal to take home for a lot of the dishes you order! We definitely recommend checking it out.
Duke Gardens
We went to see Duke Gardens during the Thanksgiving holiday with mother-of-the-bride, Dee Dixon. The beauty of this park took our breath away. We also learned that Ma is quite the photographer! The gardens are also very close to the Duke Chapel.
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Check out where Lenzi works! UNC has a gorgeous campus, and Chapel Hill generally is full of arching trees. Located right off campus is Downtown Chapel Hill. Downtown is small but cute, with a few small shops and restaurants. We've spent plenty of afternoons walking down Franklin St.
Spicy 9 Sushi Bar & Asian Restaurant
This was our date night restaurant of choice for the first two years we lived here. This asian fusion restaurant has a variety of dishes, great specials, and amazing crab rangoons!
Elmo's Diner
Our favorite little breakfast spot when we lived in Chapel Hill. They make the best biscuits!
