What’s the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting Black Tie Preferred for our nuptials and wedding celebration, but feel free to wear smart casual for activities before and after our wedding day. For men, Black Tie means a tuxedo and black shoes. For women, think long dresses (floor/maxi or midi) and gowns in florals or solids. This is an opportunity to get dressed up for our special day!

Are kids invited?

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding reception to be your night off! For our ceremony, we will have a few nieces and nephews in attendance serving as ring bearers and flower girls. Your invitation will be made out to "The {Your Last Name} Family" if your children have been invited and "Mr. & Ms." if only you and your significant other have been invited.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are keeping things super small and intimate (fewer than 40 people!), so your invitation will be addressed to you and your significant other or "The {Your Last Name} Family” if there is more than one person invited from your party.

When should I book my accommodations?

Answer

We highly recommend booking sooner than later. Start in early 2023 (January or February) to lock in the best rates at the inns and hotels around town we've identified. For flights, the sooner the better as well. If you plan to take the car ferry, you can book a reservation with the Steamship Authority once their new rates come out in late January 2023.
