LA HONDA
La Honda is a one-horse town home to a whopping 979 souls. Located between the Santa Clara Valley and the Pacific coast, Apple Jacks Inn, the roadhouse tavern we've chosen as the site of our Bay Area reception, sits on winding Highway 84, through the lush Santa Cruz Mountains. A relic untouched by the sweeping wave of modernity in nearby Silicon Valley, Apple Jacks was picked as the 12th “diviest dive bar” in the country by the website Impulcity. If not for a small, red, illuminated sign attached to a rugged wooden pole outside, you might just pass by this moss-covered log cabin. But with its secluded setting, adornment of vintage license plates lining the roof, and reputation for hosting a diverse crew of outsiders and creative minds throughout its history, we feel that it is much more. It's the site of a future epic party.
With not much in the way of lodging nearby, we encourage car-pooling and designated drivers. Some overnight options within 20 miles are below.
