It's also located in the St. Charles Streetcar line, which makes it convenient to get either downtown or to Uptown. It's about 15 minutes from the wedding venue.
House Or Rental
You may want to try to book a house through AirBnB for the trip. We would suggest that if you go this route and you don't know the city too well, check in with Leanne or J.B. Specifically, our suggestion is to be mindful of what part of the city you stay in. We suggest you look for a house in one of the following neighborhoods if you want to be walking distance to the French Quarter: the Marigny, the Treme, the French Quarter, the Central Business District. If you want to look for a house closer to the venue in the part of the city that is more low-key but still walkable to food, drinks, and activities: Lower Garden District, Irish Channel, Uptown, Black Pearl, and Carrollton neighborhoods.
Travel Note
There are a few different ways to get around the city. First, you can rent a car for the weekend. Another option is to use ride sharing like Uber and Lyft. Due to COVID, there seems to be a limited number of drivers recently which makes this option more expensive and difficult than usual. Another option is to use public transportation. There are buses and the historic streetcar. Download the RTAGo app to help you plan your public transport routes. For travel along St. Charles avenue, the streetcar is a fun (albeit, very slow) option to see sites. If you plan to take the streetcar to the wedding, once you get off at the Audubon Park stop you'll either have to walk the 0.7 mile or catch a ride from St. Charles to the venue, which is on the other side of the park. *We will provide transportation for the Family Fais Do Do. There will be limited parking available, and rideshare will not be available to attend.
