Things To Do

There is so much to do in and around South Lake Tahoe. If you like to hike, there are many, many options. Some of our favorites are Twin Lakes/Island Lake, Fontanillis Lake, Eagle Lake, van Sickle, Potholes, and Angora Lake. If you like to mountain bike, bring one or rent one! There are also quite a few trails of all sorts and difficulties around the basin. Let Leah know and she can give a recommendation at your skill level. If you like to climb, there is also lots of bouldering and sport climbing in the area. Let Leah or Justin know and they can give you recommendations at your skill level. If you want to go out to paddle board or to the lake, there are rental options around town for water crafts of all sorts! There are lots of breweries and eateries in town too. If the river is flowing and high enough you can float the river which is a local favorite! There are casinos for those who want to do that, but we’ve never been and wouldn’t know which is best.
