Folly Beach is the touristy, young, crowded beach of Charleston. There are a lot of great restaurants like Taco Boy, Rita's, Loggerheads, and the Pier restaurant and bar. This is also where a lot of fun street events happen and where Stephen and Jen got engaged! Another cool little bar is the Surf Bar and Low Life bar.
A beautiful private island, you can park for a fee before the gate and get local beach access. It is a gorgeous beach where dogs are allowed. If you make the trip out here be sure to stop by the famous Angel Oak Tree and the shopping center at the circle between Kiawah and Seabrook Island where there are cute shops and restaurants to walk around in.
Shem Creek is a fun area to get waterfront dining. There are a few restaurants with different atmospheres. If you are looking for a rustic, off the boat kind of place Red's is the place to be, Vickery's is also a good option but Red's is our favorite especially with the rooftop bar for awesome dolphin scenes. Next to Red's there is a fish house and a nicer restaurant with awesome house ground burgers called Tavern and Table. We always see dolphin or manatee when we visit Shem Creek.
Feel free to drive by Jen and Stephen's house!
