We'll spare you of the boring details, but long story short Scott met Lauren Duletzke, who introduced him to Lauren Whitesides (LD), who introduced him to Lauren Cheema. Confusing, we know. Anyway, Cheema was visiting LD to run a hilly half-marathon on Galentine's Day, and Scott ran into them while they were carbo-loading out at a pizza joint. They took pity on Scott's lack of Galentine's Day plans and invited him to their post-run wine tasting outing, with you guess it, the gals. It was a beautiful day of wine tasting, but sparks weren't flying quite yet... Fast forward a few months, and Cheema ended up moving to Portland for a travel nurse gig. This Oregon summer was high on her traveling bucket list, finding love was not. They ran into each other periodically throughout the summer but each time would go their separate ways. After a few months of friendly banter back-and-forth on social media about very competitive MLS rivalries, Cheema offered an olive branch that he couldn't refuse - Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa, Live at Sunlight Amphitheater. Let it be known, she made the first move. And apparently Snoop Dogg brings people together. This would become the start of us, Honey and Sweets. Since that fateful Snoop Dogg concert, the love between Scott and Cheema endured long-distance dating, an infamous cross-country drive, Cheema converting from a Sounders fan to a diehard Timbers fan, the blending of friends and family, many trips to wine country, and so many thrilling adventures around the world.
