Celebrate our love with us

We met in October 2019 when Lauren stepped onto motor yacht Rhino in West Palm Beach, FL, where Remmert was First Officer. Over the next six months of working together, we got closer as friends and coworkers until March of 2020, when we realized that we could be something more, and decided to give this crazy romance a shot. The next three years would bring pandemics, crazy work schedules, and travel to amazing places together, with all the beautiful moments in between that have helped us grow our love and as people... We're so excited about this next chapter of our adventure, and so happy to have you join us for it!

After three years of dating, it was finally time for Lauren to see Remmert's beautiful home country of South Africa to meet all of his lovely friends and family, and to experience the amazing sights and landscapes of the Eastern and Western Cape. A major highlight was going on safari at the Botlierskop Game Reserve outside of Mossel Bay in the Western Cape. The two of us along with Remmert's parents had a beautiful villa in the middle of the bush where we all had a great view of hippos, zebras, and rhinos while we had a braai out on the deck. Despite the very chilly and rainy weather, we had two incredible game drives on Thursday, with a great guide that made sure they got to see all of them as up close as possible-- truly a once in a lifetime experience that would have been a life highlight on its own. Little did Lauren know, Remmert had brought with him a ring, and topped off the perfect day with the perfect proposal, and champagne by the fire with a view of the animals.
