We're getting hitched!

Lauren had just moved to Durham, NC and started a bike club for serious cyclists. On August 25, 2021, two goobers named Pearce and Adam showed up on hybrid bikes wearing basketball shorts. They struggled on the ride, so Lauren hung back to make sure they had a good time and didn't get hit by a bus. Such a Good Samaritan. The three of them went to dinner afterwards and really hit it off, committing to hang out more. That was that for a couple months. Pearce was busy sorting through other women on Bumble, including, as it turns out, Lauren's sister Jill. In October, he invited Lauren to the most romantic place on Earth, the North Carolina State Fair. Their first date was October 18, 2021, a deep fried affair with fireworks. While at the Fair, Pearce rather brazenly invited Lauren to join him for a 15 hour road trip to Key West only two weeks later to celebrate his cousin Brooks' marriage to Kristen. Lauren, with her 'Yes can do!' attitude, agreed to go but not before scouting out all the airports along the way as escape hatches. Pearce and Lauren not only had a blast on the trip, but they weren't finished chatting even after 17 hours straight in the car on the way home. They haven't stopped adventuring since, and now they never will! Pearce popped the question to an oxygen deprived Lauren on top of a Colorado mountain following an arduous hike through snow on March 26, 2023. Through her blue lips, she managed to say 'yes!'
