Flying to Italy

We recommend buying flights as early as possible, & no later than 2 months ahead of travel. We will be flying into Rome and taking a shuttle to the venue, but flying into Florence, Bologna, or Pisa are also options. Pisa's Galileo Galilei Airport (PSA), is the largest airport closest to San Gimignano.

Reaching San Gimignano

Regrettably, we are unable to provide transportation from arrival destinations to our venue. Airport shuttles will be available just as in the US. Uber/Lyft is generally not found outside of major metros in Italy, so we suggest public transportation as the best overall option. Italy has a well developed transit system, so taking a train/bus to San Gimignano is certainly feasible (note there is no direct route by train alone). If you would like to rent a car and drive during your stay, our hosts at Guardastelle provide very clear driving instructions.

We suggest staying within walking distance of the wedding venue - there are 2 within a five minute walk. Our recommended room blocks are available by clicking "View" below. You may filter local hotels by location, price, & star rating to find the best fit for you. There are also several options within the town of San Gimignano, including staying in one of its famed towers!
