We invite you to RSVP online here through this website. Each event has its own RSVP button to ensure accurate totals for all.
Because of the travel involved, we encourage a sooner than later RSVP to minimize your costs when booking but you have until 10/09/24 for a firm decision. We entirely understand schedules are challenging, so we just ask that you kindly communicate if there is no response because you are a maybe!
All of the events attached to the wedding celebrations are on property at the host hotel, Rosewood Tucker's Point. For anyone opting to stay there, transportation to and from the different areas of the property are included. For anyone staying at the secondary hotel (less than 7 minutes away), there are taxis and ubers (called Hitch Bermuda, download the app) as well as mini cars (download the app Current for them) famous to Bermuda to get to and from. For some events, we will have a private shuttle for our party only & those departure times will be communicated in the weekend itineraries you receive upon arrival.
BDA, also known as L.F. Wade International Airport
We will be arriving Thursday morning ahead of the masses and will be staying at the Rosewood property until Monday afternoon. For those interested in playing in the tee-time tribute for Lauren's late father, arrival on Thursday is necessary. For anyone else, there are a handful of Friday am flights from all major northeast airports that arrive in time for the welcome party at 3:30. No pressure to arrive for the welcome event as we are having a Saturday wedding so that not everyone has to take off a day of work on Friday. Please keep in mind as you book that Monday is a holiday (Veteran's day) so many are giving themselves a full Sunday Funday and not departing until then.
Yes, we have a room block at Rosewood Tucker's Point as well as at Grotto Bay (less than 7 minutes away). The Rosewood block has been partially filled with bridal party and immediate family, so block pricing will be based upon availability. They will hold our rate based on availability until June 9, 2024. Whichever comes first the allotment fills or that date, guest can of course still stay, however the price will be at the rate available to the public. The secondary host hotel, Grotto Bay, has a larger amount of availability and is a bit more cost-effective. If all are sold out by the time you begin planning, kindly reach out to Lauren or Mark and we can assist in alternate hotels we suggest.
Plan A is a fully outdoor wedding all on the main property at the host hotel, Rosewood Tucker's point. The ceremony is before sunset, cocktail is during sunset and the reception is under the stars. We will have heaters should it be a bit chilly but hoping the dance floor keeps us all warm and the ocean breeze is just the perfect amount. Should the weather be wet and windy, we will revert to a plan B which is fully indoors. The decision will be made 3 days prior so we will communicate to guests before anyone hops on a plane!
Yes. The Rosewood hotel has a complimentary shuttle for all guests, as well as golf carts for a surcharge (comes with any suites free of charge) and we will have a private shuttle for our party for any event off the main property (sunset soirée will have circulating buses).
Each event has a specific code (found on the schedule tab) but if you pack golf & tennis wear (should you play), resort wear, beach wear, and a black tie outfit, you will be set for any and all of them!
Bermuda weather in early November is supposed to be a bit of a local secret as it is one of the most pleasant months. The humidity has come and went, hurricane season is in the rearview (although rarely directly hit anyway), and just last year as we visited, recorded a day nearing 80 degrees. However, it can also be host to chillier days with a low hovering around the 60's. We learned from experience that 66 in Bermuda feels like 80 here so don’t get upset if you see those temperatures on the weather apps! And rest assured we will be monitoring it and will send out some weather intel before anybody packs!
Kids are welcome (as our own will be there, of course) to any and all events. We will say, if the weather is amazing it is the most perfect family spot, however, if the weather isn't in our favor, it's better suited for an adults-only romantic getaway. Should you bring your kids, please make sure it is noted and we will have an agency of babysitters available (for a surcharge) should you want a mix of both family and alone time. Friday there is a kids movie night hosted by the hotel for any parent that would like to drop their child off to play with any other participating children.
Due to the size restraints that come with an intimate and boutique venue, we have limited plus ones to live-in partners. When you click RSVP and type your name, everyone included in your party will populate.
Friday's soiree will be an assortment of sliders & Bermuda's famous mac 'n cheeses & not to ruin all the fun but the wedding will have farm to table canapés, a raw bar, pasta station, local catches, steak, etc. We will also have a vegetarian option available for those that prefer. The hotel itself has four on-site restaurants so there will be plenty of options should we need more.
Both Friday's welcome party and Saturday's main events will be open bar.
The Bermuda dollar is an even exchange.
Right in Bermuda, a very quick process on the weekday departures making the arrivals home a lot faster.
Your presence is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, please utilize the links and resources on this site instead of adding anything extra to travel with! Should you be old school like the two of us and enjoy picking out cute cards, we will have a wedding card box at the reception.
