You'll be surprised how many people will understand you in English, and be able to speak with you! Portuguese people are extremely friendly, and if they don't understand you, they will go out of their way to help or do whatever they can to understand.
We will be looking into providing transportation to and from the wedding. We will most likely choose a pick up point in Lisbon or Cascais. The Venue is about an hour from both areas.
Yes! Very well, and 90% of the time the drivers speak english.
It can, a lot of places have wifi. Most cellular services have an international plan and travel pass where you can use your phone exactly as you would in the US for a specific fee a day. If you choose to connect to "TravelPass" it allows you to talk, text, and use data for $10 on days you use your mobile abroad. You will get a text about TravelPass when you land in Portugal. **make sure to keep your phone on airplane and wifi mode Make sure to pack a travel european adapter so you can charge your phone. The venue has wifi!!
Portugal weather is notoriously fantastic! We will be getting married in October. It could be sunny and warm, the temps range from 73° F to 58° F / 22° C to 14° C. It is almost always cool at night, even if its extremely warm during the day. Bringing that sweater/and or jacket will be necessary for this trip as it gets chilly at night. We absolutely love this about Portugal, but definitely plan accordingly.
Since most people are using the opportunity to have a mini vacation they want to know what our travel arrangements are! We plan to be in Portugal from Sep. 30th until Oct. 14th. The week of Oct. 1st we will be available for friends and family!
Check in time at the venue begins at 2:00 pm on October 1st however we would suggest taking the opportunity to explore Portugal during the day as there will not be much to do before the BBQ if you check in too early. Each room includes air conditioning and a private bathroom.
