Flight
We always enjoy flying into San Francisco. San Jose International Airport and Oakland International Airports are great options as well, and can be easier. San Jose International Airpot is a shorter drive.
Hotel
Deetjens is a very cute rustic inn, they also have a restaurant called the Big Sur Inn. Some rooms have shared bathrooms with one other room, so if your traveling with another couple this could be a good option! They offer rooms with private bathrooms as well.
Hotel
Big Sur Lodge offers a variety of cottages, also cottages with 2 rooms if your traveling with others!
Hotel
Glen Oaks offers nice rooms, cottages, and cabins. Glen Oaks seems to have a more modern look rather than rustic compared to most places in Big Sur. There is also a restaurant located on the grounds.
Hotel
Ripplewood offers very rustic cabins in the redwoods, some have fire places and some are located on the river. They are super simple, nothing fancy and not as expensive. Cabin 8 and 16 are two bedroom cabins.
Hotel
Big Sur Campground and Cabins offer really cool fancy "tent cabins" ( basically not a tent but a very small cabin with see through ceilings) and they also offer multiple room cabins.
Hotel
Fernwood has very affordable motel rooms and cabins. They have a Tavern that stays open late and a restaruant for food and drinks and also a general store. Looking through the reviews at Fernwood, it actually looks like a cool spot to stay. Fernwood offers tent cabins but they are more like tents, not as cool as Big Sur Campground tent cabins.
Hotel
Big Sur River Inn offers standard style rooms. They also have a general store and burrito bar.
Hotel
This is where Jason and I will be staying since it's the only place that is dog friendly other than the campgrounds. They offer a variety of affordable rustic cabins.
Hotel
Ventana is on the pricier side, they offer fancy camping and very nice hotel rooms.
Hotel
One of most expensive places to stay but it is beautiful! A good place for a drink.
