We will be celebrating at the Union Hill Grange Hall in Sublimity, OR, on August 9th, 2025! The party will start at 5 PM. Please come hungry! We will provide drinks, dinner and dessert while we enjoy live music to toast our marriage.
We want everyone to feel comfortable and stylish while celebrating with us! Think dressy but relaxed—summer dresses, skirts, dress pants, and button-downs are perfect. Short sleeve button-downs or polos would be great too. No need for ties or formal wear, but let’s keep it a step above everyday casual. Most importantly, wear something you feel great in and ready to celebrate! The party will be outside on grass, gravel and uneven surfaces. Please keep this in mind when choosing your footwear!
Although there will not be a ceremony we do have a few surprises in store and don't want our band playing to an empty field! The party begins at 5 PM, but please arrive no later than 5:45 PM or you may miss dinner.
Early August brings beautiful summer weather, with warm days and clear skies. You can expect temperatures to be around 55°F in the morning and rising to about 85°F in the afternoon—sometimes even a little warmer on the hottest days! It’s generally dry, so it’s a perfect time to enjoy the outdoors. Be sure to stay hydrated and dress comfortably for the sunshine.
Yes! Complimentary beer, wine and cocktails will be served by licensed bar tenders for the duration of the event. Self-serve water and other nonalcoholic beverages will also be available for guests. La Paella from Bend, Oregon will be cooking both traditional and vegetarian paella options for dinner served with fresh bread and salad. We will also be grilling hot dogs for kids.
Yes! We're happy to have children celebrate with us at our Sublimity reception. While there won't be designated childcare at the event, we kindly ask that parents keep an eye on their little ones throughout the evening. We appreciate your help in making the celebration enjoyable for everyone.
Yes, there is plenty of parking available at the venue that will be clearly marked upon arrival.
This is a celebration, not a ceremony! We’ll be serving appetizers, dinner, and drinks from a mobile bar car, so come hungry and ready to raise a glass. At some point in the evening, we’ll share a few toasts and cut a cake, but mostly we want to enjoy the evening with all of you!
We will not be providing a shuttle, but there will be plenty of parking available at the venue for those driving. If you are coming from Portland and prefer not to drive, it may be worthwhile to coordinate a bus or shuttle with a group. Let us know if you're interested and we can help connect guests who might want to share a ride.
