FAQs

If you have any other questions that are not answered here, please reach out to Laura, Alan, or one of their moms for the best info.
Question

Do I get a plus one?

Answer

Unless it is specified on your invitation and the RSVP that you have a +1, we unfortunately will not be able to accommodate additional guests at the wedding events.

Question

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

While we love your kiddos, we have chosen to only include our nieces and nephews at the wedding events. Drop the kids off with friends or family and come vacation with us!

Question

what if I am not able to attend?

Answer

No worries at all! We completely understand that traveling to the wedding is not possible for everyone - whether it be due to budget, schedules, childcare, etc. If you are reading this, we love and appreciate you and of course would want you there, but we are also more than happy to celebrate with you in other ways :) However, please let us know as soon as you are able if you do not plan to attend.

Question

can i stay somewhere else?

Answer

While we highly recommend that you stay at the resort where the wedding is taking place, you are able to book other accommodations. If you choose to do this, you will be responsible for arranging your own transportation to and from the resort, as well as arranging day passes at the resort the day of the wedding. Please let us know if you plan to do this.

Question

Do I need to bring cash with me?

Answer

While everything at the resort is included once you get there and any extras can be paid for with a credit card, we recommend bringing an average of $10 a day in cash (USD is fine) to tip your airport transfer driver, bell services, and bartenders. Singles are encouraged and a few dollars goes a long way.

Question

can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you please don't! We have paid for an amazing photographer to travel with us and capture our wedding day. Please let her do what she's good at and trust that great photos will come from it. Links to the wedding photos will be shared after we receive them.

Question

are there safety concerns?

Answer

First and foremost, we want to say that we would never ask all of the people closest to us to travel somewhere for the wedding if we had not already been there and deemed it safe. If you observe officers with firearms, they are there to monitor the area and protect you and are of no concern. However, due to the nature of traveling to a different country, there are always going to be risks involved. If you are not comfortable traveling to our wedding, we will understand and look forward to celebrating with you at a different time!
