Most guests will have their own vehicles (or rentals) to travel to Breckenridge, which can conveniently be parked at The Lodge venue for the duration of the ceremony and reception. The parking lot holds 100 vehicles and, if needed, vehicles can be left overnight for safe traveling after the reception. The Lodge has a few options for local transportation including a complementary shuttle from the venue from 8am-10pm anywhere within the Breckenridge area. Additionally, there is a free public bus stop just steps across the road that you can hop on as well! Ubers and Lyfts can also be ordered, if needed.
The ceremony will be held on the wedding deck at The Lodge, seated at 10,200ft with panoramic mountain views on all sides. With weather in September, you can expect the aspens to start turning yellow as well as snow starting on the mountain peaks! Guests will be seated on both sides of the deck to create an aisle, with Laura and Brandon meeting each other on the far side of the deck for the ceremony.
Immediately after the ceremony ends, the outdoor deck will be transformed into a cocktail hour with 2 bar locations for guests. We will be offering a variety of beer and wine choices (open bar), as well as light hors d'oeuvre. As soon as the reception space is ready, guests will filter inside and take their seats for speeches, dinner, and dancing!
Semi-Formal (suits and cocktail dresses). Classy and comfort are the vibes! Temperatures might be warm during the day, but cooled off at night so it might be best to bring a shawl or light jacket just in case.
During cocktail hour, we will be offering a variety of appetizers as well as a full open bar. For dinner, we will be offering a buffet style menu consisting of salad, sides, and steak or salmon. *If you need a vegetarian, vegan, or allergy-friendly option, please reach out to us and we can help to accommodate!*
We absolutely love kids, but we’ve decided to make our wedding an adult-only celebration (besides the wedding party). We hope this will give all our guests the chance to relax and enjoy the evening.
The Lodge is seated at 10,200ft elevation, which is no joke! For those coming from out of state (and even those traveling from Denver or Colorado Springs) you should be prepared for the effects that can come with higher elevations. HYDRATE - as soon as you arrive in Colorado, please drink lots and lots of water! For alcohol - please drink moderately, as at higher elevations it can hit you quicker than you'd expect! While traveling or hiking, please take your time and extra breaks if needed. Fun fact - there is approximately 30% less oxygen at this level compared to what your body is used to! The mountains can humble you quickly, and it's important that you take care of your body at higher elevations.
