Since the first moment that we met each other, we knew our lives would never be the same. It all started on a hot July day in Colorado Springs, CO at Atlas Middle School. It was all staff institute, a time of chaos, get to know you's, where time seems to work against teachers as they battle Professional Development blocks, setting up classrooms and all the "things" it takes to start a school year off successfully. Until one moment made time stand still for both Laura and Brandon... In true Laura Tracy fashion her face got red and she introduced herself to Brandon asking "where are you from" Brandon's response, a small suburb of Chicago, Sugar Grove, IL he said with pride. Laura's response in the moment, "Oh my gosh, you're a FIB." Then having to explain exactly what that meant. It was from that moment both knew life was going to change forever. Although this took time for both to truly realize they belonged together, it was Brandon's second year at Atlas that he finally worked up the courage to "profess his love" to Laura. As a true romantic the day after an Atlas halloween party, he opened up to Laura at Tony's in downtown Colorado Springs - the finest dive bar you have ever seen. From that day forward would begin the journey for them as a couple. Nothing would be easy about this relationship, Laura cheers for all the wrong teams in Brandon's mind (Packers, Brewers, Badgers). While Brandon cheers for all the wrong teams in Laura's mind (Bears, Cubs, Hawkeyes). Despite their differences both Laura and Brandon have shared so many great memories and experiences together. From Laura opening up Brandon's world to constant hikes, ski trips and all that Colorado and Wisconsin have to offer. To Brandon showing Laura all that Kinnick Stadium, Soldier Field, Wrigley Field and race days have to offer. Both have deep and heavy roots in their families' and traditions, sharing both sides and becoming part of one another's families has been integral in their growth and relationship. On December 14th, 2025 in Rocky Mountain National Park, Laura and Brandon took the next step of getting engaged on the most perfect day. It is with great excitement and so much love that we get to share this moment on September 12th, 2026 in a place that is so special to us (Breckenridge, CO). We hope to see you there!
