Laura Beth met Jo on the first day of their freshman year at MVNU when they were paired randomly as roommates. It wasn’t long before the two were inseparable and they have been best friends ever since. They have roomed with each other all four years of college, and have experienced many adventures together, spanning from BTS Concerts in Chicago and routine Bubble Tea runs in Columbus, to Pizza and Coffee together halfway across the globe in Seoul, South Korea. LB has known for quite some time that Jo would be the one standing next to her on this special day. She is so thankful to share these moments with her “Other Mother”, the Jhope to her Jimin, the Miriam to her April, her sister from another mister, her Kindred Spirit, her “Coussin”, her 엄마, and ultimately, her Best Friend.

Man of Honor

Jason and Laura Beth have been nearly inseparable for the past 21 years of their lives. Jason’s being only 17 months younger than LB led to them maintaining a very close brother/sister bond throughout their childhood and into their adult lives. Being the two oldest of their many siblings, they found a deep and true friendship in one another. From sharing the stage as Belle and Gaston together, to sharing sharing a college campus with one another, they have never been too far from the love and laughter of their relationship. Jason has been LB’s best friend her whole life and she could not imagine where she would be without him. When she began to imagine her wedding, she knew she would need her brother standing by her, as always, once more.

Alyssa Sidle

Laura Beth and Alyssa met in their freshman year at MVNU in the Treble Singers Women’s Choir. They hit it off well, and planned to live together sophomore year. Since then, they have been apartment mates throughout the last three years of college and have become close friends. From late night sleepovers in the living room, 586 homework parties, Vicky Van Halen road trips, Saturday morning YouTube binge watching, 80s jam sessions, class shenanigans, and more, Alyssa has become like a sister to her. LB is so thankful for the deep theological conversations they have shared and the wisdom Alyssa has poured into her life. She is beyond blessed to experience the excitement of this special day with one of her most beloved friends!

Sarah Hildreth

Laura Beth met Sarah in her freshman year at MVNU when they were placed in the same small group. They lived two doors down from each other that year and quickly became very close friends! The two have made quite a few memories together and LB cherishes each season of life she has shared with Sarah. From surprise Hamilton tickets, Choir Tour van rides, and road trip jam sessions, to three weeks of “co-parenting”, laying out in the sun listening to the same song over and over, and Kdrama binges, LB has found a deep friendship in Sarah. She is so thankful to finally experience the day they have dreamed about together!

Laura Beth met Breah at five years old when Breah’s cousins moved in across the street from LB. Since then, Breah has been like family to her and is part of the reason she chose to attend MVNU. They have been through thick and thin together - times of great grief and others of such joy - and have found a wonderful friendship in one another! Everyone around them has only ever known them as “cousins” and LB is thankful to have this wonderful friend and honorary family member at her side on this special day!

Alyssa VanFossen

Laura Beth and Alyssa met when her brother invited the gorgeous girl, who was sitting alone reading a book, to join them and a few friends for lunch. She witty remarks and intoxicating smile quickly led LB to recognize that her brother was quite smitten with her. Since the two made it official, Alyssa and LB have become fast friends - sisters. She could not imagine this big day without her sister by her side, and is beyond thrilled to share the love and excitement with one another!

Kasey Keith

Laura Beth and Kasey met in their freshman year at MVNU when they were placed in the same small group. Having spent that first year only two doors down from one another, they immediately became close friends. Kasey has been a constant support and source of honesty and love in LB’s life. She began to cultivate a love of horror movies in LB when she took her to see her first horror movie, “IT” in theaters, and her energetic, chocolate milk-loving personality always keeps LB laughing. There is nothing like the sound of Kasey shouting out “LBJ!!!” across the 586 when her order is ready, and LB could not imagine her special day without her Kasey Keith!

Rachel Rinehart

Laura Beth met Rachel in her Freshman year at MVNU when they were cast together in the Matchmaker. Rachel quickly took LB under her wing and the two were soon close friends. Both are double majors in Theatre and have since been in two other MVNU productions together. From impromptu crepe runs in Knoxville, hotel room shenanigans, and improv after improv class, to duetting Barbie movies, sending memes to each other every two seconds, and dress rehearsal Tbell and Starbucks runs, LB has found her missing twin sister! She is so thankful to share these exciting moments with her!

Nate Hurst

Best Man

Nate is Joe’s third oldest brother and has been one of Joe’s closest and best friends for many years. Even though Joe and Nate shared a room together for most of Joe’s early teen years, it wasn’t until Nate left for college when they began to grow closer and by the time Nate graduated and moved on to start his own family, Nate was one of the best friends Joe has ever had. From impromptu “Jack in the Box” taco runs, to watching movies together through video chat, Nate has always been there for Joe and nothing will ever break the bond they share.

Hannah Hurst

Best Woman

Hannah is Joe’s youngest sister and one of his closest friends. Being only four years apart and the two youngest, the two of them shared one of the more special relationships out of all the Hurst siblings. They have been through a lot together, including some tough and hard times, as well as some great times filled with lots of laughter and joy. As the wedding became a reality, Joe knew he wanted Hannah be by his side one more time just as she always has been.

Jackson Moody

Joe met Jackson freshman year at MVNU. With their rooms right next to each other, the two of them quickly grew to be great friends, bonding over everything from video games, movies, to the stress and crushing weight of the many classes they were taking together. Both being ministry majors, they have shared in many lengthy conversations about ministry, and through that Jackson has become one of Joe’s best friends and source for spiritual accountability. Jackson is a great friend and Joe is honored to have him by his side to celebrate this great season of life.

Ehrich is Joe’s oldest brother and has been a great big brother and mentor that Joe has always looked up to. Joe would say Ehrich has been one of the biggest influences in his life and has played a big role in shaping Joe into the man he has become today. From helping him develop a love for football and comic books, to being a spiritual mentor that Joe can call on for encouragement and accountability, Ehrich has always been there for Joe and their brotherly bond remains as strong as ever.

Steve is Joe’s second oldest brother and in recent years, Steve and his wife Jenny have become like second parents to Joe. Their house always feels like second home and they have been some of Joe’s best supporters and source of encouragement. From playing video games and board games on the regular, to going to the movies together on a regular basis, Steve has been one of Joe’s best friends and Joe has known for sometime that he was going to have Steve standing by his side when that wedding day finally came.

Adam is Laura Beth’s uncle. Joe has not known Adam for very long, but upon meeting Adam Joe was instantly reminded of his brothers and knew that Adam would eventually be great to get along with and could possibly become a great friend and confidant just as his own brothers have been. Joe is happy to have Adam standing by his side as the two families join together and grow even bigger and crazier. Joe looks forward to growing closer with Adam and getting to know him as family and as a great friend.

Scott Sharp

Joe met Scott at Freshman orientation for MVNU. The two discovered they had some things in common, including a shared passion for God and ministry. While Scott may have been a bit weirded out at the idea of Joe being a few years older than the typical Freshman, the two still began to become good friends. From watching movies and shows together, to deep theological talks and discussing the finer things in life (like coffee and “Mama Mia”) Scott has been a great friend and Joe is looking forward to having Scott by his side on the wedding day.

William is Joe’s cousin as well as one of his best friends. Being only a month apart in age, the two of them have grown up together and Joe has often seen Will as more of a brother. These two have been through a lot and have gotten into lots of trouble and shenanigans together. The stories they share will live on and bring laughter for many years. Joe could not imagine his life without Will and he is so glad to share in this celebration with one of his oldest and closest friends.

Josh is Joe’s fourth oldest brother. Josh is only four years older than Joe so they have grown quite close as a result. From sharing a room for many years to living across the world from each other, they still find ways to stay connected and talk about life and football and music and all of the things they bond over. Unfortunately, Josh is not able to make the trip, but he will still be in Joe’s heart in mind as he standing up there on the wedding day. Joe always dreamed about having all four of his brothers standing by his side for his wedding, so even though Josh will not be there physically, he will be there in spirit and in Joe’s heart. Living in different countries can be hard, but no distance will ever break the brotherly bond these two share.
