This is a sandy beach, great for relaxing and taking a dip!
One of Laura's favorite spots from her time living on Bainbridge. It's really fun to jump off of the dock--depending on the tide it can be a pretty far way down. Even if you don't jump in, the views are unbeatable, and the beach has beautiful rocks!
This is a gorgeous State Park that has an expansive beach, driftwood paradise, picnic areas, camping, and more! If you choose to extend your trip on either end of our wedding, this is a really awesome place to stay. Book your campsite early! Let us know if you go, and we can give you instructions for how to get to a nearby park at night and see/swim in bioluminescent plankton! As it is a state park, you will need a Discover Pass (if you live in WA!) or to pay a day-use fee. If you spend the night, your campsite fee covers you, so you don't need to pay an additional day-use fee. We can also lend our Discover Pass so let us know if this is on your agenda for the weekend!
We love going here for coffee and breakfast!
This is a classic Bainbridge location! Delicious coffee and pastries, and the toast is AMAZING! (Freshly baked bread, butter, and homemade raspberry preserves!)
This nautical restaurant/bar is frequented by people visiting by boat, as it is right on the marina. The Pub has an amazing patio and life-changing clam or smoked salmon chowder. It's a good idea to go at off-hours, and expect a wait. It's worth it, though!
This is an amazing Italian restaurant and grocery store! We love to get the wood-fired pizza and bring it to Fay Bainbridge State Park. Their handmade pasta is also a treat!
Bainbridge Brewing is on the island, and their taproom is just off the ferry! A great place to enjoy a local craft beer. The brewing facility also has a taproom and is fun to visit, but harder to get to without a car.
Is it a garden center? A cafe? A post office? An animal feed store? A natural grocer? A gift shop? A clothing/shoe store? YES! This place has it all. It is quintessential Bainbridge and definitely worth a stop. (If you decide to check it out, bonus points if you can spot the boulder outside that Laura once accidentally drove her car onto! She got it un-stuck with the help of a friendly tow truck driver. Thanks, Mom, for your moral support through that adventure!)
This museum has amazing rotating exhibits, and admission is free!
Bainbridge Island has a fascinating history, and this is a great place to learn more!
