After meeting and connecting online on a fine dating app called Tinder, Peyton and Laura decided to have their first date at a bar in Phinney Ridge (Seattle) called the Tin Hat. It couldn't have been a better place to meet--69 cent tacos and cheap-ish beers! As they sipped on IPAs from two of their favorite breweries, Peyton was charmed by Laura's wit and intelligence. Laura was impressed as she watched Peyton consume five tacos at a rapid pace. She noticed he was also very kind and had a great sense of humor. The evening was filled with laughter, flirtation, and connection. From this day on, the two continued to learn new things about each other, and found that they still make each other laugh every day! Each year on the second Tuesday of May they make sure to enjoy some low-quality tacos and high-quality company.

The story of Laura & Peyton's proposal is not one from a romantic comedy film! After 4+ years of dating, growing their connection together, sharing a home, raising kitty children, and sharing a vision of the future, they gradually became aware--independently and together--that they want to continue building a life together. They "officially" decided to get married this July at a Wilmington Sharks baseball game in North Carolina, on a trip with some dear friends.
