4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Casual
Your children are welcome to the BBQ! Go to the far SW end of the Leadbetter Beach parking lot and you'll see us in a private, outdoor area. (Not in the sand, although we're close.) Get ready for grilling (GF and veggie options available!), drinks, lawn games, and maybe a park jam session if Laura's dad and brother bring their guitars. (Spoiler alert: They are. More participants welcome. Or you can stick to playing oversized Jenga and thinking up nice things to say about Laura and Maurice.) What should you wear? People will be wearing a mix of casual and dressy casual. Jeans/nice shorts/slacks work! So do dresses and wedges. If you want to be a little dressier, Laura's going to be in a shiny jumpsuit, so you won't be alone! It will be in the high 70s, but bring a jacket/sweater in case the ocean breeze gets a little too cold.
4:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Festive Cocktail
The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 p.m. in the zoo's Hilltop & Palm Garden and be followed by cocktails, dinner, dancing, and animal surprises. The zoo will provide guests with complimentary overnight parking.
Sun, Sep 15, 2019, 10:00 pm - Mon, Sep 16, 2019, 1:00 am
Only half a block away from the zoo, there's no excuse to not stop by the Hyatt's Mar Vista Bar! The staff is kind enough to open up their ballroom to us as well to accommodate the group, so there will be lots of room to drink, dish, and maybe dance a little more.
