Jeni's is our favorite ice cream shop in Atlanta. You will not be disappointed by the smooth texture and buttercream body, their exciting flavors, and standard faves. There are tons of locations in and around Atlanta so find the one closest to you and enjoy!
Piedmont Park is Atlanta's premier green space. This 185-acre park is located about 1 mile northeast of Downtown, between the Midtown and Virginia Highland neighborhoods and is home to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. It's a great place for a walk or jog; you can feed the ducks at the lake or have an afternoon picnic, you can also hop on the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail and you'll find yourself at a ton of restaurants and shops.
The Atlanta BeltLine is a former railway corridor around the core of Atlanta. The outdoor space is comprised of 33 miles of trails and walkways, open green space and parks that wind between the city's in-town neighborhoods. Eating There's no shortage of restaurants on the BeltLine. Most are placed around the Eastside Trail. Krog Street and Ponce City markets alone have a plethora of dining options. Parish, King of Pops and Woody's Famous Philadelphia Cheesesteaks are some of our other faves. Drinking The area has an abundance of patios and pet-friendly watering holes. Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall is a bar and restaurant with a large outdoor area and tons of games to pass the time. We would also recommend stopping by New Realm Brewery for an ice-cold craft beer. Things to Do The BeltLine isn’t just for eating, drinking and shopping. Rent a bike or snap some photos at one of the many works of public art found throughout, including murals and sculptures.
In case you didn't know, Atlanta is the birthplace of Coke. The World of Coca-Cola is a museum, where you can learn about the history of The Coca-Cola Company. The best part is the tasting room where you can taste over 100 flavors of Coke from all over the world.
The Georgia Aquarium is the second largest Aquarium in the world. You'd have to go to Singapore to find one bigger. In more than 10 million gallons of fresh and saltwater, you will find hundreds of species and thousands of animals across its seven major galleries.
