Update: Safety Measures

This will be updated as we continue the planning process.

Ceremony seating will be organized to keep families grouped together, but 6 feet separate from each other. Reception dinner tables will also be organized by family and spread out between upstairs, downstairs, and outside (outside by choice only, it will be quite warm). Rather than a buffet, dinner will be plated and served to you individually at your table. Rather than a drink station, pitchers of water and tea will be placed on each table. There will be plenty of hand sanitizer available for everyone. We are also looking into providing disposable or cloth masks.

Update: Postponed

Same place. Same love. New date.

Due to Covid-19 Tyler and I had to make the difficult decision to postpone our wedding. While we are both incredibly disappointed about all of this we feel that our family and friends' health takes priority. We have rescheduled our ceremony and reception to June 28th. We are praying for your health and happiness during this time and cannot wait to celebrate with you on our new date.

How we met

First comes BeetleCat, then comes marriage

We first met at BeetleCat, an oyster bar, where we both worked as servers. Tyler was too cool to notice me back then and eventually we both found 9-5 jobs that took us away from the server life; however, fate brought us both back, and we reconnected. He asked me to go to dinner with him twice, once at a particularly boisterous Easter party, and again a few days later because he didn't remember the first time. I said yes both times and it was the best decision I have ever made.

The Proposal

Best Christmas Ever 12.25.19

We were visiting my family in California for Christmas, as we do every year. At 6am, Santa Tyler snuck downstairs to add what would become my favorite ornament to my family's Christmas Tree. Later that morning, as we were all gathered around opening gifts, Tyler told me he had one more small present for me. He guided me to the tree and I saw an ornament, hand made by his mom, that said "Will you marry me?" I turned around to see him down on one knee with the ring in his hand. In front of my whole family, he proposed, and made it the best Christmas ever!
