Travel Note

General Information

We encourage guests to book hotels, Airbnb's, and all travel early as Sandpoint, Idaho is a popular summer destination. Renting a car is highly recommended, as Spokane Airport is a 2-hour drive away and Sandpoint offers little public transportation. We will be celebrating with various events from Thursday, August 6th through Sunday, August 9th (with the wedding on the 8th). While kids aren't invited to the wedding itself, we'd love for you to bring your family and make a summer vacation out of it! Sandpoint is a stunning lake town on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho's largest lake and one of the deepest in the U.S., with endless opportunities for hiking, boating and exploring one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Spokane International Airport

For guests who are flying in, we recommend Spokane International Airport (GEG). From there, it's a beautiful 2-hour drive to Sandpoint, Idaho.

Rental Car

From Spokane International Airport, Sandpoint is a 2-hour drive away so you will definitely want to rent a car as it's the easiest way to get from Spokane to Sandpoint and the easiest way to get around town when you arrive. We recommend using an online booking service such as Priceline.com for the best rates. We are working with Hertz and Enterprise to provide our guests with a discount code to use for the weekend.

The Lodge at Sandpoint

The Lodge at Sandpoint is one of the most beautiful places to stay right on the lake. While this lodge doesn't offer event room blocks. we highly recommend this hotel for those guests looking for a more luxurious stay.

If you're looking to book a cabin on the lake, especially with a group, Sleep's Cabins is a great option and is located close to the venue.

There are a ton of great AirBnB's in the area! We recommend booking an AirBnB in Sandpoint or Sagle, ID that's atleast within 10 miles of the wedding venue. Please reach out to Laray or Chris if you have any questions on a place you're looking to book.
