I highly recommend you check Air BnB before committing to a hotel with the high rates in DC. There are some great places available with reasonable rates. Please contact Lara or Tom if you have questions about any particular listing or if you would like tips on using Air BnB. The wedding will be in the Chinatown neighborhood but there are many great locations that are a quick Lyft or Uber away. Rates $100-$200 for our dates for 2 guests.

You can easily walk from this hotel to the church and Clyde's. No Lyft ride necessary. Rates for our dates are about $270. Rooms are compact but the pictures look nice. Website says paid parking is available. There is a very cool rooftop bar, too.

A 8-minute Lyft or Uber to the hotel. Rates are $233 for our dates. (Unfortunately, our wedding is during the week but if you happen to come to DC on the weekend, they have a fabulous Sunday brunch!)

A 14-minute, $10 Lyft to the church. Rates are $178 for our dates. I've never been here but it's a good rate!

Sonder The Grace

I picked this location as an example in Virginia, but Sonder also has several very affordable locations in DC if you can get one. This location is in VA, so its a 23-minute, $17 Lyft. Rates are$152 for our dates. You can also research other locations in Virginia to find better rates, but beware of DC traffic! Ride times will probably be at least 20 minutes longer than normal during rush hour.

Hampton Inn & Suites Arlington Crystal City DCA

Crystal City or Pentagon City might be a good option if you plan to fly into DCA (Reagan National Airport). You can take the metro into town in 30 minutes for only a few dollars each. Or, you can take a Lyft (recommended for the ride back after the reception) for about $16 and a 20-minute ride. This hotel is just an example; rates are $176 for our dates

DoubleTree by Hilton Silver Spring Washington DC North

We actually live in Silver Spring so this might be a good place to stay if you want to stop by and visit while you are here. It is a long way from the venue, so you will probably want to drive to the wedding and park, but there is also public transportation available. A 40-minute, $25 Lyft - DC traffic rules means it could be up to 20-minutes longer during rush hour. Or you can take the redline metro from Silver Spring and arrive right at Gallery Place metro station in about 40 minutes for only a few dollars. Room rates $156 for our dates.

Hilton Garden Inn Silver Spring White Oak

This is the closest hotel to our home! A great choice if you want to come visit, although it's too far from public transportation so you will need to drive to get around while you are here. Rates are $168/night for our dates. Count on an hour drive to the church during rush hour and about a 45-minute drive back afterward. However, it's only 5 minutes from our house. Lyft is about $35 dollars (each way).
