Bainbridge island is a 25-minute drive from Kingston. You can explore the adorable downtown area, grab coffee at Pegasus, or eat lunch at Proper Fish or Ba Sa Restaurant.
While on Bainbridge Island, we recommend visiting the beautiful Bloedel Reserve. Note that there is an admission price. "Bloedel Reserve is a 140-acre wonder of nature, created by the imagination, vision, and passionate love of the natural world shared by our founders, Prentice and Virginia Bloedel. Working with the rugged geography of the land, they artfully transformed a rough-hewn Northwest forest into a harmonious series of curated gardens, structural features, and distinctive landscapes, with nature as canvas and paint."
Port Gamble is an adorable small town about a 15 minute drive from Kingston. Think Gilmore Girl vibes with a few cute shops, a great general store with home decor, clothes, and more, all situated on Gamble Bay. If you'd like to eat there, we highly recommend Butcher & Baker Provisions.
Poulsbo is another adorable town coined Washington's "little Norway" and has lots of restaurants and shops you can explore.
