Christian and I took a trip to Oregon to scout out where we would live next and spent the last part of it at the Oregon Coast. Christian knew my love for sea stacks and that I wouldn’t want to be a sweaty mess whenever he decided to pop the question (shout out to his sister Sonja for talking him out of asking me while backpacking). After dinner on the water, we took a walk along the shoreline for sunset. Christian brought his tripod and camera with him which wasn’t unusual in the slightest. I wanted to have a picture of us to remember the moment so he set up the camera and asked me to stand on the beach to frame the image. Once he adjusted the settings, he joined me in front of the camera where we started to take photos. He then turned towards me, expressed all the reasons he loves me and reached for his pocket. He knelt down and asked me to marry him! So many happy tears we shared. We spent the rest of the night sipping champagne and talking about our future. We are so excited to get married here in the beautiful state of Oregon where our new chapter together began!
