Maid of Honor
Rhiann and Jane first met as new roommates at the start of their freshman year at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where they bonded over their shared love of coffee, sci-fi, art, and avoiding large social gatherings. Both would argue that had they not been placed together as roommates, their introversion and differing majors (Jane-Painting, Rhiann-Printmaking) meant they'd never have crossed paths. Throughout the years, Jane has remained a steadfast and supportive best friend, despite living apart since graduating from college. They've cried together, laughed together, and shared everything from clove cigarettes, piercing appointments, crushes, recipes, and Taylor Swift lyrics. "We can let our friends crash in the living room. This is our house, we make the rules." --Taylor Swift
Best Man
Kevin and Kevin went to high school together, but didn’t officially become best bros until sometime later, when their friend groups intersected. They share a taste for video games, the arts, bad movies, and niche internet humor. Kevin has remained a staple in the groom’s life through relationships, getting sober, various living situations, and over a decade of attending comic cons together.
Ring Bearer
Justin and Kevin also went to high school together, but much like the best man, they didn’t officially become best bros until sometime later, when their friend groups intersected. Justin and Kevin (best man) are kind of a package deal, akin to Bert and Ernie, Simon and Garfunkel, and Hall and Oates. Justin has also remained a staple in the groom’s life through relationships, getting sober, various living situations, and Dungeons & Dragons shenanigans.
Officiant
Sue holds a special place in Rhiann’s heart, for she was her acting Work Mama at Piedmont Geriatric Hospital, where the bride had her first job out of graduate school. Sue offered guidance and love from day one, and always amazed Rhiann with her musical talent and love for her patients at PGH. Sue will remember when Rhiann met Kevin and couldn’t stop talking about her new “golden-retriever boyfriend” and she was always there to listen (and make sure he was treating Rhiann right from the start!) Even though the bride has moved forward with a different career path, Sue remains one of Rhiann’s favorite former colleagues and is truly a special friend. The bride and groom are so grateful that Sue has agreed to officiate their special day, filled with love.
Flower Girl
Judy Lanzillotti, affectionately known as Nonnie to her family, has truly been a pillar in Kevin’s life. She and Kevin’s mother, Pam, raised Kevin together to become the wonderful man he is today. Nonnie will always make sure that you’re fed, that you know what’s in the fridge, and that you feel loved. The bride and groom are extremely grateful that she has agreed to be the Flower Granny at their ceremony.
