Rhiann Stewart and Kevin Lamb met on the dating site Bumble in early 2022, where Kevin’s profile caught Rhiann’s eye—especially the parts where he said he’s an “avid indoorsman,” “has a dad bod without the kids,” and “can befriend ANY pet.” That, plus Kevin’s bright smile, was enough to convince Rhiann to send him a message. Shortly after their initial conversation, Rhiann contracted COVID-19, thus postponing their potential first date. Kevin was patient, however, and kept her company digitally with silly memes and conversation. The first date went swimmingly, starting with dinner and ending with a movie. They both felt such a strong connection that they immediately made plans for the following day—meaning Kevin put in about 6 hours of driving over 2 days just to see Rhiann again. They’ll both tell you that they fell in love fast on that second date, where Rhiann made pancakes and bacon for dinner and they chatted on the couch for hours afterwards. After a few months of dating, Kevin never wanted to leave, and Rhiann didn’t want him to, either. They’ve been inseparable ever since, growing in friendship and love together. Kevin moved in with Rhiann in January of 2023, and has only brought her joy and laughter since joining the household with his dog, Ginger, and Rhiann’s new rescue kitten at the time, Moira. After they attended the wedding of Rhiann’s college friend in Mexico later that year, they both got a bit of wedding fever and started to talk seriously about getting engaged in the coming months. Rhiann and Kevin planned their engagement together and he proposed in Baltimore on April 1st, 2024. She got to show him where she earned her undergraduate degree, introduce him to more of her college friends, and take him all around her favorite parts of the city. When they got back from their engagement trip, they decided on a long engagement, solely because their favorite holiday, Halloween, would fall on a Saturday in 2026, making it the perfect time for a wedding weekend celebration!
