Dress code is formal gowns or cocktail dresses, and tuxedos or suits (not gender-specific). We will also be providing some fun Halloween props at the reception for photos and shenanigans!
The wedding ceremony and reception are 21+ because we plan to have a cannabis-friendly reception with a designated consumption area. Don’t worry, anything with THC or CBD will be clearly labeled and in its own area! We encourage our friends and family to consider this event a date night for themselves!
While we wish we could accommodate everyone’s +1’s, unfortunately we don’t have room for that many people and want to keep our special day somewhat intimate. Please refer to your mailed invitation for the names of those invited as well as any guest allotments you’ve been given. **Please note that if you were not allotted a guest, there are guaranteed to be some of your pals from either GSA, MICA, or EVMS in attendance! —Rhiann
Absolutely! Please note that we have made considerations for our vegan, vegetarian, and gluten sensitive friends already! If you have a food allergy, please let us know and we will make sure the caterers are aware.
We have reserved a block of hotel rooms nearby at the Hotel Weyanoke to allow for convenience and for our guests to easily stay in touch throughout the events of the weekend! Please contact Rhiann for the code!
There is minimal parking at the wedding venue, however it’s very close to the hotel—a 6 minute walk, according to Google Maps! We can also arrange for rides or carpools from the other nearby hotels, please let us know your needs and we will figure it out!

Please RSVP by June 30, 2026 at the absolute latest. If we haven’t received your RSVP by that date, we will be sorry to miss you, but we have to give final counts to our coordinator and caterer.
There will be a Hike with the Maid of Honor (Jane Philips) event to see High Bridge Trail on the morning of the wedding at 10am. It is about 2 miles each way, on relatively flat terrain, suitable for beginners. The wedding will be a sunset/twilight ceremony, so you’ll be back in plenty of time! We are hoping to have something planned for family on Sunday, November 1, 2026, please see the RSVP page for details.
The groom will be changing his last name to Stewart to match the bride. We just like it better! We will become Mr. and Mrs. Stewart on our wedding day, and we couldn’t be more excited!!
