Question

Should we rent a car?

Answer

Depending on where you plan to stay and what activities you want to include in your weekend, you might want to rent a car. We are providing a shuttle from the downtown area to and from the wedding on Saturday. The rest of the wedding events will take place in the Mid-City / Bayou Saint John neighborhood. Uber/Lyft is also a great option around the city, and they are readily available. If you do rent a car, check out www.costcotravel.com that is where we found the best deal and they let you add a second driver for free :)

Question

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

This was a really tough one for us. We are lucky to be "Uncle Tim" and "Aunt Meg" to so many of your children, and these relationships are very special to us. We realized that if we included all the little ones in the reception, the numbers weren't feasible. So, apart from immediate family and children in the wedding party, we will not be having kids at the wedding. We can connect you with local parents and/or babysitters if you choose to bring your kids from out of town. Children are enthusiastically invited to the BBQ event on Friday evening and the goodbye event on Sunday morning :)

Question

Who was the creative genius behind our wedding hashtag?

Answer

There was a group of talented individuals known as the "Witty Committee" working around the clock on this. The #LallyLeBonTimRouler hashtag gem was created by Leslie Feingerts. Honorable mention to Sally and John Witherspoon (#TheTimofMyLife #CantHelpFallinginLally), Leigh Topp (#LovedBayou), Sean Duncan (#BitchesandBrosontheBayou #TimGetsPegged), Jeanne-Marie Schwarz (#Megothy), and Katie Sands (#Megatim) for their amazing contributions. Feel free to use the hashtag of your choice at the wedding or double up!

Question

Is transportation provided to the wedding?

Answer

Yes. We will provide a shuttle from downtown New Orleans to and from Palmetto's. If you choose to drive, there is parking available at the venue. See shuttle details in the travel tab above.

Question

WHAT’S THE Wedding DRESS CODE?

Answer

The attire is wedding casual. Look sharp but be comfortable, as it may be warm and humid this time of year. Men do not need to wear a suit and tie, women may wear sandals or flats if they prefer. Dancing shoes required!
