John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK)

NYC has several airports but the ones that is most convenient to fly into is JFK International Airport and from there Long Island can be accessed by car or the LIRR train. Laguardia (LGA) is also a great option to consider flying into as well.

Train

NYC Subway

If you've decided to book your accommodation in one of the 5 boroughs, great ! Welcome to where Laissa grew up and has so many treasured memories. The NYC Subway can be complicated for those taking it for the first time but it's a great way to get around ! We do not recommend driving in New York City itself. Please keep in mind that you'll have to arrange a way to make it to the wedding which will be on Long Island (roughly 1-1.5 hours away by car). But you have many options but the one we recommend is booking a rental car for the day via the app Turo or any other trusted car rental service. Here is a link to the official NYC MTA Subway app:

Train

Long Island Railroad (LIRR)

For those who are local and/or are traveling in by train, the ceremony is about a 10-15 minute walk from the Brentwood LIRR station.

Renting A Car?

If you've decided to stay on Long Island, fantastic! Long Island is home to some of the best things to do in NY in the summer and will soon be the place where Jordan and Laissa exchange "I do's." Long Island is not known for its public transportation, however, so we strongly recommend that you rent a car if you're not roadtripping to NY (which could be a fun option for some). But if you were looking forward to exploring NYC, don't worry, you can take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) directly into the city. For a list of LIRR stations so you can coordinate your accommodation to be nearby for easy access into the city refer to the link below. Note: We do not recommend driving into NYC, parking is not easy to get and the roads can be chaotic for first-timers

Shuttle

Transportation Ceremony to Reception

June 5, 2025 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Though there will not be a shuttle service to the ceremony and the reception, our wedding venue won't be more than a 15-20 minute drive away from the listed accommodation recommendations. We recommend Uber/Lyft or that you coordinate tightly with other guests for carpooling options

Child Care

As our wedding will be adults-only/16+, we want to make it as convenient as possible for you to arrange childcare on our wedding day. We recommend creating accounts on Urban Sitter or Care.com (linked below) to search for potential nannies. These nannies come pre-vetted as they are required to be background checked to have an account. There you can share your travel dates and accommodation location and get to know your nanny in advance. As we get closer, we will also link a spreadsheet for other parents in case there is a potential for nanny-sharing. Please contact Jordan or Lai if you need any support.
