Our love story began in a cozy, dimly lit Thai restaurant in New York, where we got so caught up in conversation that the waiter had to ask for our order five times. From the start, there was a spark between us—great banter and a feeling of having known each other for years. Laissa was captivated by Jordan's warmth and sincerity, while Jordan was drawn to Laissa's infectious laugh and the kindness in her heart. As we spent more time together, we discovered our shared love for travel. This passion led us on countless adventures, exploring over 15 countries and eventually making Spain our home. Whether adopting our beloved dog, Rambo, or navigating the world as nomads for 1.5 years, each experience has enriched our bond and deepened our connection. One of the pivotal moments in our journey was realizing how deeply we loved each other. For Jordan, it was clear from the second date, but Laissa felt the depth of her love grow during a period of long-distance. Jordan's unwavering support—visiting her in California and Abu Dhabi, and caring for her family while she was away—showed his commitment and love. Our proposal story is a cherished memory. In Mauritius, Jordan surprised Laissa with a special dinner at the spa, where he presented a heartfelt video montage of our five years together. The moment culminated in a "letta'" (a nod to our favorite movie, "The Green Book"), and Jordan down on one knee. It was an unforgettable evening filled with joy and tears. As we look to the future, we are excited to continue building the life we've always dreamed of, with a deep sense of purpose and faith guiding us. We are excited to continue the life we've been intentionally building, carving out and re-imagining a reality we didn't have but can already see we have the ability to create with God by our side. Our wedding day will be a celebration of this journey, surrounded by the warmth and support of our family and friends--a room filled with love and all those who have supported us in our relationship and to be the people we are today.
