Danielle Monica Long King

Matron of Honor

Danielle is Lisa’s sister who graduated from The Academy of Sacred Heart in New Orleans. She was always very passionate in arts and theatre all throughout her younger education. Danielle was always performing on stage in musicals and plays at Sacred Heart, Jesuit High School, or at Le Petite Theatre. She was also a member of Sacred Heart’s choirs and as one of four singers in the selective Four Voices singing group. She attended Carnegie Mellon’s prestigious musical theatre program for High School students. She then was accepted and attended college at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre. Danielle began her career in New York as a Stage Manager in the world of theatre. She then decided to further her education at Columbia University’s Graduate Program with a concentration in Arts Management. She continues to live in Manhattan with her husband, Brad, while raising her two beautiful girls, Emeline Monica (age 9) and Rosalind James (age 5). Danielle is currently the Producer and Director of Organizational Culture for the Williamstown Theatre Festival.

Dr. Mary Elizabeth Holzer

Matron of Honor

Dr. Mary Elizabeth Holzer, known to her friends and family as Lizzie, is a doctor who specializes in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Lisa was first introduced to Lizzie through a childhood friend, Dr. Lauren Tilton (bridesmaid), at Superior Grill 14 plus years ago. Immediately a bond was forged over happy hour margaritas and laughter; the tradition continued as a weekly Wednesday night ritual. Lizzie attended LSU and graduated with a degree in Chemistry and a minor in Bio-Chemistry. Lizzie then graduated from LSU Medical School while working as a Surgical Assistant and as an Ophthalmic Technical Assistant in Dr. Daniel A. Long’s private practice. Although Lizzie did not continue her focus in Ophthalmology, Lizzie moved forward in her residency in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics in New Orleans. She was also the Chief Resident in her residency group. Even with long hours of studying and working at the hospital, Lizzie never wavered as Louisiana’s #1 sports fan. She always found a way to cheer on her beloved LSU Tigers and Saints while occasionally screaming at the refs for wrongful calls. She is a beautiful and intelligent woman whose style and grace even the cover models of Vogue cannot touch—she is our style guru of the group. Lizzie is a Board Certified Doctor of Internal Medicine at Lakeview Hospital in Covington, LA. She lives in Lakeview with her adorable golden retriever puppy, Lucy, and her husband Joshua Highnote.

Dr. Ashley Van Wormer

Matron of Honor

Dr. Ashley Van Wormer and Lisa have been friends since Kindergarten at Louise S. McGehee School. Their friendship became rather close over the years, through their mutual passions for singing, working as co-editors of the school’s newspaper, performing in the yearly Spring Musicals, and through other extracurriculars at school. But even after the school bell rung, they spent time with their closest group of classmates, also known as, “The Keg.” Great pastimes included Spring Breaks in Orange Beach, creating small horror/comedic films at Dr. Erica Lee’s (bridesmaid) family’s cabin in MS, slumber parties, movie nights, and holiday celebrations spent together. Even when they lived in separate states and had busy lives, Ashley and Lisa always kept that close bond. Ashley always made an effort to visit Lisa in New York or in D.C. for a girls weekend. Ashley graduated from Tufts University with a degree in Latin America Studies. She then graduated from LSU Medical School. Ashley completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology. Ashley is an OBGYN at Oschner’s Baptist Hospital in New Orleans. She lives with her husband Andrew Chaplain who were married this past April. Lisa is so grateful for the devotion, love, kindness, and support Ashley has shown to Lisa throughout their wonderful friendship. It has been one of the greatest treasures in Lisa’s life. Ashley truly is one of the kindest people with the biggest heart you will ever meet.
