Getting to "DTA"

If you are staying in "DTA" (as the Midshipmen call it), you will not need a vehicle during your stay. We suggest shared rides (Ubers and Lyfts), taxis, or shuttles from BWI to Annapolis. Once in the downtown area, quick walks or Ubers/Lyfts/taxis will get you everywhere you need to be for wedding festivities -- EXCEPT onto the Naval Academy grounds. To get onto the Naval Academy grounds at any time during the weekend, you will either need to walk through a guarded gate, or you will need to be a passenger in a vehicle driven by someone who holds a military ID. Regardless of how you enter the Naval Academy, you will need to present an unexpired photo ID and be prepared to be searched. Entering the Academy implies consent to search. Pretend you are going on a flight. (If you mistakenly ask Nick about his approach to airport security, grab a chair and get comfortable!)
