Can I bring more people?

Answer

As much as we would love to host everyone, our venue has a cap that we cannot exceed. Persons not on the official RSVP list will not be permitted.

Where will the ceremony and reception take place?

How do I get to and from the wedding?

Answer

Hidden Lakes (the wedding venue) is ~40 minutes from Phoenix. Uber (a web-based taxi service) has options to schedule a ride to and from the wedding in advance! (https://www.uber.com/us/en/ride/how-it-works/reserve/) We highly recommend scheduling rides in advance, as Buckeye is not a well-trafficked area and may not have drivers nearby. You may also drive yourself. There is ample free parking onsite, but there will also be ample drinks flowing. If you choose to drive yourself, please designate a driver and DRINK RESPONSIBLY. Kylie knows all of the ER docs in the area and does not want you to meet them on our wedding night. :P

Is there onsite parking?

Answer

Yes! The venue has plenty of free onsite parking within walking distance to the venue.

Will the entire wedding be outside?

Answer

Yes, but the venue has ample water and shade! The Kilian family will also have their motorhome on-site should anyone need to take a break from the Arizona sun.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Dressy casual (semi-formal). Please be aware that the venue is entirely outside so it may be slightly hot during the day, and slightly chilly during the nighttime festivities. If you would like an excuse to buy a new outfit, the wedding colors are terracotta and sage green. However, we would like you to wear whatever colors and styles make you comfortable. <3

What footwear should I choose?

Answer

Our venue is completely outside ON GRAVEL. Please wear comfortable shoes that allow you to walk on gravel and dance the night away! We are not responsible for broken ankles. :P

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We will be (possibly) moving states very soon after our wedding, so we will not have a registry, but would love for you to contribute to our Newlywed Fund. Why does the registry only have an option for cash donations?

Answer

We will be moving in the months following our wedding, as Kylie will have matched into a residency program somewhere around the country! We do not know if we will be moving 10 minutes or 1000 miles, but your generous gifts will go toward building our new life.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! We love your children and all their joy and laughter. Please be aware that our venue is at a lake and outdoors, so we are not liable if your child gets their tiny suit/dress wet by exploring the venue. :)

Is there anything else I should bring?

We will be having a "Dollar Dance" and will have a bar where tips will be accepted, so a few extra dollars in your wallet won't hurt!

Ok... What is a "dollar dance"?

Answer

The Dollar Dance is a tradition that originates in Germany, that was originally intended to give families an opportunity to help financially support the newlywed couple and to give advice to the newlyweds. The DJ will announce the Dollar Dance, and the bride and groom will take their place on either side of the dance floor. Guests may line up to dance with either the bride or the groom. When guests get to the front of the line, they may give cash to the Maid of Honor or Best Man, and then dance with the bride or groom and share advice or love.

What's for dinner?

Answer

We will be having the wedding catered by a wonderful food truck that will have new-american style food! Food will be buffet-style and vegetarian options will be available.

I'm just here for the DRINKS!

Answer

Drinks will be flowing! We will have two mixed drinks (picked by your favorite newlyweds) as well as non-alcoholic drinks available on us. You may order an unlimited amount of any of these! Otherwise, a full bar is available, and you are welcome to purchase drinks outside of those listed above. Outside drinks will not be permitted into the venue.
