Flight
Rapid City Regional Airport (RAP)
Rapid City is the closest airport to Sylvan Lake! It takes about one hour to drive to Sylvan Lake from RAP. If you plan to fly to RAP via Denver, keep in mind both of these airports enjoy volatile mountain weather in the summer and flights are often delayed!

Sioux Falls (FSD) or Denver (DEN)
If you're up for a road trip to visit Wall Drug, the world's only-est Corn Palace, and other SD sights, you can fly into FSD in Sioux Falls where we live! If you're up for a road trip from Colorado, avoiding extra connections, you can fly into DEN in Denver. Either way, it is a 5-6 hour drive to Sylvan Lake (and don't forget Sioux Falls is in Central Time)!

Sylvan Lake Lodge
We have a block of rooms held at the Sylvan Lake Lodge for booking until Tuesday, December 30, 2025, when any remaining availability will be release to the public. If you are at all interested in reserving a room or cabin on site, the Sylvan Lake Lodge recommends that you call and make your reservations as soon as possible so that you have the best possible chance of getting a room or cabin type that works for you (prices start at $211/night). Call 1-888-875-0001 to make your reservations and reference the Siemers/Woodbury Wedding at the Sylvan Lake Lodge on Saturday, July 18, 2026 when calling. If there are no units in the block that suit your needs, you can ask what is available outside of the block, instead. Be prepared to pay the first and last night’s deposit when making your reservation. If you do have to cancel, this deposit is refundable less a $25 cancellation fee if you do so at least 15 days in advance.

Since Sylvan Lake is located in Custer State Park, there aren't a lot of rental homes or hotels in the immediate vicinity, though there are many options in nearby Custer and Hill City!

Cell Service at Sylvan Lake
We could take this time to request an "unplugged ceremony," however, Sylvan Lake will likely take care of that for us! Cell service is limited in and around Custer State Park and you may not have access to wifi or navigation depending on your carrier. We recommend downloading a map or taking screenshots of any driving directions you may need!
