Tunnel Mountain Village Campgrounds

15-35 minute walk. The Tunnel Mountain Campgrounds offer tent and RV camping as well as otentiks, which are private A-frame cabins. This option requires you to rent/bring some camping gear but is the cheapest way to stay in Banff. Parks Canada Reservations are now open. Last we checked, there were a couple RV openings in the Tunnel Mountain - Trailer Court, but if they're gone or if you're still hoping to find a reservation, we recommend trying out "Schnerp" to get notifications whenever a spot opens.

Hostel International - Banff Alpine Centre

6 minute walk. This hostel is clean, reputable and friendly, and the second most affordable way to stay in Banff. It offers bunk rooms but also offers private rooms for a bit higher charge if desired. If you're interested in booking with the hostel please reach out to us, because bookings of at least 10 guests receive an additional discount.

Buffalo Mountain Lodge

3 minute walk. This is a beautiful lodge with many amenities, including wood-burning fireplaces and an outdoor hot tub. Despite its rich offerings it is more affordable than most hotels in Banff, especially if booked in advance. We are staying here!
