We met at a graduate student coffee club in March 2020, only days before the university closed for COVID-19. We liked each other immediately, but it was hard to imagine getting to know anyone when the entire world was under indefinite lockdown! But as luck would have it, that autumn we were both assigned to be teaching assistants for one of the only in-person classes. We talked after every class, and when the semester ended we plucked up the nerve to ask each other out. On Nov. 8th, we celebrate 4 years together! In that time we have had many adventures and made lots of wonderful memories with each-other and our friends and family. We've played hundreds of hours of board games and we've hiked, backpacked, biked and run hundreds of kilometres. We've lived on two continents and in three cities. We've moved our pet bird overseas and across the country, and finished two graduate degrees. No matter how crazy life got, we knew we always had each other, the mountains, and a solid foundation of friends and family to keep us sane. We can't wait to enter this next stage of our lives together and we couldn't be happier to have you by our side in one of our favourite places!
