A mid scale restaurant/bar in Brookings. Our favorite date night restaurant. We are both convinced they make the best cheesecake in the world. Highly recommend! Numerous gluten-free options on the menu as well.
Cubby's Sports Bar & Grill - Brookings
A staple bar and grill in the Brookings community. They have a rooftop area as well which can be really fun this time of year! We both love the chislic basket and their homemade ranch dressing.

Kyle's favorite Mexican food joint in the area. Tons of great authentic options.
Lemke's Bar & Grill - Aurora
We live 3 blocks from Lemke's and love it! Great "hole-in-the-wall" type bar food and small town atmosphere. Go enjoy our favorite little town that is just a 10 minute drive east of Brookings! A 45 minute, fairly straight shot drive from Madison, or stop in on your way to the venue! Don't blink, you might miss it. *No website, however, they have a Facebook page*
Sake Japanese Restaurant - Brookings
Frequented place for the bride and groom throughout college (and their relationship)! Great sushi and hibachi at a affordable price.
SDSU Dairy Bar - Brookings
Great ice cream made by students at SDSU. Peanut brickle and cookies and cream are must haves. Fun fact: Cookies & Cream ice cream flavor was invented here at SDSU. Unfortunately they are closed on the weekends, however, this would be a great place to stop on your way to Madison if you are coming Friday afternoon.
Wooden Legs Brewing Company - Brookings
Our favorite craft beer joint in town. We both recommend trying the Pub Shandy as it is an even better version of Summer Shandy. Great food and pizza, they offer GF crusts as well!
Mosaic Wine Bar & Small Plates - Brookings
This fun and unique option is great if you are looking for a quiet and low-key environment. Great ambiance, wine, and appetizer plates! In the same building as Kool Beans.
Ray's Corner - Brookings
Ray's Corner is a staple to the Brookings community and many of the Ag students at SDSU. A good watering hole for many of the "locals" in the area. It is our favorite cash bar in town. Great vibes. Jackie loves it so much she worked there for 2 years!
Brookings Farmers Market
Saturday mornings 9am-12pm. One of Jackie and Kyle's staple "dates" in the summertime! The flowers from Pixie Acres Flower Farm are to DIE for. So pretty and fresh as can be!
Downtown Brookings
Downtown Brookings has numerous boutiques, decor shops, coffee shops, and bar/restaurant's (some listed above). It is fun to do everything: From window shop with friends to bar hop the college town nightlife.
The Lanes - Brookings
Where the happy couple first "hit it off". Kyle and Jackie sang "Should've Been a Cowboy" together during Wednesday night karaoke, and have been inseparable since. They have since remodeled the facilities and offer bowling, food, drinks, and have a casino in the building.
Dakota Nature Park - Brookings
A large park in Brookings city limits with numerous paved walking trails and fishing ponds. We have been there countless times throughout our relationship to do both :)
Blarney Stone Pub - Sioux Falls
One of the most frequented places we go to when down in Sioux Falls. Great food and a wide variety of drink options. In the summer they open up the garage door for an indoor/outdoor feel.
EightyOne Arcade Bar - Sioux Falls
The bride and groom's favorite bar in Sioux Falls. Enjoy feeling like a kid again as you play arcade games while indulging in a locally brewed beer and/or delicious pizza.

Falls Park - Sioux Falls
Beautiful scenery all year long. Walk on trails near the falls and enjoy being close to various restaurants, cafes, breweries in the area. Falls Park Farmer's Market happens every Saturday 8am-1pm during the summer months.

Palisades State Park - Garretson
We go camping here every so often. It has beautiful scenery and a few fun trails. An hour from the venue and 30 minutes from Sioux Falls. Worth the drive if you have time and want a killer view!
