If you're looking for a spectacular meal and don't mind shelling out for it, this is the place. Arguably the best place in Cleveland if you ask the bride and groom, and their place of choice if there's any special event to be celebrated.
A quickie bite kinda place, reminds us of an Indian Chipotle.... and SO GOOD. Kyle coming to Cleveland meant Choolah bowls every time he came up to visit. We recommend the samosa chaat, the regular naan with butter, the roasted veggies, and the tikka masala. TO. DIE. FOR.
This is where the bride and groom live; the shops and restaurants are GREAT around here (poutine, sausages, sushi, pasta, pizza, coffee, 3 bars, wine bar, and brassica). The rooftop bar is great, and you'll find that Mitchell's Ice Cream (voted best in Cleveland) is 50 feet away!
You'll never go to a better bakery. They have a smaller, closer location in the Van Aken District, but this address is the original. After 10:30A they offer lunch, and you'd be wrong to pass up on it. Jaime loves their soups and PB&J (it's fluffy white bread with rasberry jam and salted PB... ALL homemade), and Kyle loves the Bahn Mi and the Jennifer cookies (chocolate chip, oatmeal, walnut). Perfect Saturday morning with them fam kinda place.
Kelsey is a young 20 something year old woman who started her own bakery out of her parents' home a few years ago. She built her business into a huge well known place in CLE now, and she's not far from the wedding venue. Check her out on Instagram for the daily flavors of macarons and cookie sandwiches she puts out (the bride often gets a few boxes of macs when she comes home to Chicago because these are the BEST around).
This place is a small, quiant, fine dining restaurant with French cuisine. Come here if you want to try something out of the box or just want some comfort food. The mission behind the restaurant makes it that much sweeter to give them your business :)
If you're vegetarian or vegan, this place offers the best menu options *while also serving meat & dairy* options. You'll be impressed by their brews and cocktail menu, in addition to their garlic parmesan fries, beef burger, and potato skins. Great place for any meal, and located in Ohio City literally surrounded by a ton of great options for food and brews.
Go for some BBQ, stay for the night life! East 4th is a walking only street that shares a store front with the rehearsal dinner spot. It's a cute brick street with lights and perfect for a little date night! BBQ is DELICIOUS and they're open late!. P.s.... the owner Chef Michael Symon is our upstairs neighbor, hah!
One of the best steakhouses in the country, but go to the one downtown (there's one in Shaker too)! If you're eating with the bride and groom they recommend oysters, mussels, filets with all the fixins, lobster mac&cheese, truffle whipped mashed potatoes, and broccolini. Special occasion kind of bill here, but once COVID is over, what ISN'T a special occasion??
The coolest, most unique place to lose time for a few hours. For the bookworms out there or someone looking for an instagrammable moment, this is the place for you. Everyone we've brought LOVES this place... definitely worth a stop!
Award winning and one of the nation's best (we know, you thought Cleveland was the armpit of the country... you're wrong) art museums. It's actually the place the bride and groom almost got married! Check out the latest exhibit, or if it's a rainy day, just check the place out because aside of the main exhibit, the entire place is free to visitors and has relatively open hours. Trust us, it's a marvel. Truly.
A great place to shop and walk around in to kill time. ~3 miles from Kyle and Jaime's apartment, Pinecrest has a few restaurants (Bibibop- korean chipotle, Condados- tacos, queso, & margs, First Watch- great brunch, Oak and Ember- BBQ, Red the Steakhouse- go to the older one downtown!), boutique shops, and big stores like REI, Pottery Barn, Williams & Sonoma, and Whole Foods.
Higher End shopping center with stores like Blue Mercrury (spa + makeup), Tiffany's (in case you feel compelled to get the bride a gift), Free People, Anthropologie, Sur la Table, The North Face, Paper Source, and Lululemon. Really good window shopping here, their landscaping is actually really cool.
Cleveland's version of Ravinia (in Chicago); it's an outdoor concert venue that could possible offer a cool concert during the wedding weekend if COVID allows. It's a great thing to add onto the weekend if you're coming from out of town. We'll keep our fingers crossed!
GREAT place to explore for breweries, places to eat, and the original location (& where they make it) of Mitchell's Ice Cream. Townhall, West Side Market, and SoHo Chicken and Whiskey are all here in Ohio City. Interestingly, the wedding caterer (Spice) has the nation's largest urban farm just behind the breweries overlooking the CLE city skyline. Cool city to explore within greater CLE!
