We're so excited to celebrate with you!

Kyle and Jaime met at med school orientation and didn't think anything of it. At the time, Kyle was dating someone else and Jaime was newly single. They went their separate ways, and two years later found themselves working together as Presidents of their respective classes. In the Spring of 2019 Kyle decided to shoot his shot, and after shooting him down a few times, Jaime finally gave in. They had their first date on the OSU campus because Jaime didn't believe such as awful school could possibly be fun to explore. Through swiftly avoiding Kyle's attempts at a first kiss and nobly yielding a gift of a cookbook he thought she might like, Jaime eventually found herself in the front seat of his silver bullet (if you know, you know), experiencing the kind of first kiss you only see in movies. The night ended after drinks with friends, but a second date was kaboshed later that week as Jaime thought it wasn't meant to be. A special thanks to Betsy Kerns for slapping Jaime upside the head (figuratively speaking, of course) as it was this that made Jaime stay in touch, and eventually ask Kyle for a second date (Yes, Jaime asked Kyle for a second date). The rest was pretty much history, as they knew within the first couple weeks how special of a catch each other had fallen for. If asked the best advice for how they found their love, both would agree that *timing* is everything. 🤍🖤

Kyle and Jaime knew for a reasonably long time that they were bound to get hitched. Long enough, in fact, that they shopped for rings and wedding venues together well before they were engaged. Kyle asked Jaime's dad, Chris, for his blessing in Chicago right around the time that their niece was born just prior to quarantine. Hilariously, both of their parents knew of their planning the wedding before the question had even been popped. In the thick of quarantine and boards studying, Kyle and Jaime took twice daily quarantine walks around the neighborhood of the Freiburger home. While she knew he owned the ring, she didn't know he'd brought it to Chicago and figured it'd be another few months before he asked. But one brisk morning with unwashed hair and in badly matched sweatpants, Kyle and Jaime set out on a walk and made it 50 feet before Kyle tugged her arm to slow down, and she stopped to turn and see him down on one knee. The rest of the walk was used to facetime friends and family in the cold 🤍🖤
